Class 3, Assignment 3: OpenSim Fundamentals

On the bottom left of the screen you can see that I'm using the text chat. This can be helpful to talk to people around you. I learned this in Rocket World!

In the local chat, you can get a log of messages from the local area. It can be helpful to see what people are saying in the world you're in that you may not have seen, as well as messages that you triggered while interacting in the world. I learned this in Rocket World!

In the screen shot above, I am hovering above the ground & using the flying features of the world. You can see the small options box that appeared when I enabled this feature that can be used to fly around. Watch out for accidentally flying into buildings--it can get hard to see! I learned this in Rocket World!

In this screen shot, I'm checking out the mini map. You can see it in the top right of the screen. I learned this in Rocket World!

In the screen shot above, I played with the size of the mini map so I could see it in more detail. This can help when you're trying to find something within the world. I learned this in Rocket World!

In this set of screen shots above, I'm using the options to change my view further away from may avatar or up or down. I've moved the camera to the left/right and up/down to get a different view on things. I learned this in Rocket World!

Here's the search options that can be used in screen. It can be pretty helpful to be able to find places or things you're looking for.  I learned this in Rocket World!

Here's where I'd add friends and searching for people to friend. I learned this in Rocket World!

Here, if I were going to transport a friend, I would click the friend and click the teleport button at the bottom of the options screen. I learned this in Rocket World!
